Raccoons

A nocturnal animal that, besides their natural habitat in the wild, also likes to make their home in attics and under sheds and decks. They are climbers and can enter your home by climbing gutters and trees to access the roof. They breed in December and January, producing litters in March of 3 to 5 babies. They are vulnerable to numerous parasites and diseases.

Squirrels

Up at the crack of dawn and home at sunset, these common seen critters like to find a home in attics and soffits. They breed during the months of December and January, delivering around March with a litter size between 3 to 5 babies. And just like raccoons, they are also vulnuerable to numerous parasites and diseases.

Another nocturnal animal that likes to make its home under stoops, sheds and decks. They breed during February and March and have their litters in May and June, producing anywhere from 4 to 10 babies. They only spray when threatened. However, they are a major carrier of rabies.

Ground Hogs

A daytime animal that will find a home under stoops, sheds and decks or just burrowing in your yard. They breed in March and April and deliver 2 to 6 babies around May and June.

Muskrats

These critters like to roam around during the day and make their home in ponds and creeks, burrowing into banks causing severe ground collapse. The usual breeding time is between October and April and the norm of producing litters around June. However, they can breed any time of the year, having 4 to 7 babies at a time.

Opossum

A nocturnal (marsupial) animal that likes to live under stoops, sheds and decks. They breed anywhere from January to July with only a 13 day gestation period. But the babies, which the female can birth up to as many as 9, will live in her pouch for another 7 to 8 weeks. Their nests are typically infested with fleas.
